SpouseLink sponsored a Valentine’s Day Social on February 10, 2019, at Gather in Chesapeake, Virginia. The space was decked out with all of the signature Valentine decor, from pink cupcakes to Valentine’s Day gift baggies filled with SpouseLink and AAFMAA giveaways. It was a smaller event, but that made it more personal with each person spreading the word (and the love!) of AAFMAA, with the help of SpouseLink Ambassador Sarah.
Sarah also hosted a successful Galentine’s event in 2018. About 6 women attended and, like this year, noted that the intimate setting made it much easier for everyone to interact. One of the wives in attendance was pregnant and would soon be going through childbirth alone while her and Sarah’s husbands were on deployment. There were a few wives there who had gone through the same thing, so this became a major topic during the event. Gotta love your gals on Galentine’s Day!
