Marine West occurred once again at Camp Pendleton in California, on the 22 Area Parade Deck, February 7-8, 2019. AAFMAA also sponsored the event as we do annually, with SpouseLink Ambassador Andrea (from Twentynine Palms) and SpouseLink team member Kathleen on the scene.
The opening ceremony took place Thursday morning, with a rope cut by LtGen Joseph Osterman, Commanding General of I MEF. A brass band and color guard were part of the festivities, and AAFMAA enjoyed holding down the very first booth in the entrance to the event.
Andrea and Kathleen handed out the usual goodies: flashlights, footballs, koozies, and shared information about SpouseLink and AAFMAA’s CAP loan. A number of servicemember visitors to their booth were looking for life insurance, mortgages and wealth management — and current AAFMAA Members also stopped by to say hi and give their thanks. We proudly thank them, as well!
