Welcome to another edition of Thursday’s Healthy Living series! This week, Amber shares a few health tips for office jobs.

Sitting behind a desk all day can make it hard to keep your weight down.  Here are a few simple ways to get moving at work:

Drink Water

Staying hydrated is an obvious benefit. Drinking a lot of water will also keep you moving, refilling your water bottle and trips to the restroom.

Phone Calls

If your job requires you to make multiple calls each day, get up and pace around your work space while conducting business.

Use Your Chair for Exercise

If you work in a more relaxed environment, or have a private office, take a few breaks each day to do some tricep dips using your chair to keep your arms nice and toned.

Bring Your Own Lunch

Going out to lunch everyday can be a drain on the wallet and get you accustomed to some bad nutritional habits. Packing your own lunch allows you to control your diet and gives you more time to exercise and move around.
