Learn. Advance. Succeed.
That is the tagline for this year’s Virtual Military Spouse Symposium hosted by the Department of Defense Spouse Education and Career Opportunities team (SECO).
The four-day symposium, geared specifically towards Military Spouses, is “designed to provide you with up-to-date and relevant information related to career development, entrepreneurship, personal branding, military family well-being, employer connections and more,” according to the event description. Things kick off on May 21 with an introductory keynote presentation that afternoon before launching into the Symposium’s 6 distinct tracks the following morning.
The 6 tracks are:
- Build Your Brand
- Be Your Own Boss
- Fill Your Job Toolbox
- Your Family Matters
- Your Career Options
- Plan Your Path
Each track will have one session per day, but attendees aren’t limited to which tracks they can and cannot participate in. Once you register, it’s all yours. There will be opportunities for growth all day, every day, so feel free to attend as many as you’d like! And don’t worry about any travel plans or expenses. For this symposium, the only place you need to be is somewhere with wifi. The whole thing is online, accessible right from your computer. You can stay in your pajamas the whole time and nobody would even know.
For a complete list of all 15 sessions they’re offering, check out the full four-day schedule. If you’ve already heard enough and want to register now, click here.
When SECO isn’t busy putting on worldwide virtual symposiums, they’re still helping out Military Spouses every single day. The program provides education and career guidance through a number of comprehensive resources and tools for Military Spouses in any and all stages of their career. Whether you’re looking for new job opportunities, considering educational options, or want to strengthen your resume, SECO can help. Plus, their intimate knowledge of Military life helps them understand and address some of the issues specific to Military families.
