No matter your family’s situation, it never hurts to keep your eyes and ears open about opportunities to make a few extra bucks here and there. Stay-at-home moms, work-from-home moms, women with full-time and part-time positions, and everyone in between can make some extra money with very little effort according to Kyle Taylor’s post on The Penny Hoarder.
Survey sites usually feel untrustworthy and scammy with little to no payoff. A great find of Kyle’s is PineCone Research, an online survey company with an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. For every survey you take with them, you earn a flat rate of $3 and can request your earnings at any point (there’s no minimum cash-out amount). Sign up for your chance to participate; if you aren’t chosen to participate this time, try again in a few weeks to see if there are any new openings.
Did you know you can get paid to report your purchases to the Nielsen company? Yep! Becoming a Homescan Family is another great discovery of Kyle’s. All you have to do is to fill out the Nielsen Homescan Application for your chance to receive a free scanner. All you have to do is scan the barcodes of each product you purchase when you go shopping and send the data back to Nielsen. In return, you earn ‘gift points’ that can be redeemed on all sorts of merchandise.
Market Research Apps
Media Research Panel is a great app you can download that will monitor and measure consumer activities involving TV, social, digital and mobile media. It tracks what and how information is viewed, clicked, downloaded, interacted with, etc. According to Kyle’s fantastic gumshoe research, you will be paid $5/month per device you download the app onto. You can install the app on up to 3 devices. If you stick with it for 12 weeks, they’ll send you a bonus of $5. You can make up to $185 per year with the Media Research Panel app; not a bad deal, right?!
