What would Military loved ones do without technology like Skype? A New York hospital recently experienced it’s first online birth when baby Jackson Matthew came into the world. The entire birth was streamed live via Skype so that Jackson’s Soldier dad could witness his son enter the world. After 27 hours of labor, the healthy baby boy was born in the presence of both parents, even though his father is stationed thousands of miles away in Korea.
Mom Kim Tennant says, “it was weird having a laptop right next to you, but you know, for the fact that he could be part of it and to experience it and to see his son being born, it was wonderful.”
