Service Dog Acts to Calm Vet’s PTSD Reaction

Veteran Eric Scott shares his story of serving in the U.S. Army and Army National Guard for 16 years. Suffering from survivor’s guilt and after being diagnosed with PTSD, K9s for Warriors provided him with a custom trained service dog, Gumbo, to help him combat his anxiety. During the filming of his interview for USA Today, when Eric became agitated while talking about being diagnosed with PTSD, Gumbo jumped into action, comforting and calming Eric before he was even aware of his stress.
