Our spirits were lifted today when we came across Operation Gratitude’s Summer 2012: Scarves for Troops blog. Operation Gratitude urges all you fabulous knitters to join in the 2012 Operation Gratitude Holiday Drive to create a hat or scarf for each package. Their goal is 50,000 wonderfully knit pieces. These items truly touch our troops. Check out this response from one grateful Soldier:
Just to let you know I’m a Soldier currently deployed to Afghanistan. And today I received a box with this scarf in it, and I would just like to say thank you so much. It warms my heart to know that there are still great people in this world. God has truly blessed me in my life.
