Veteran and rapper, Soldier Hard takes on PTSD and suicide in his new single “Red Flags.”  As an Iraq War vet, Jeff Barillaro aims to bring awareness to these issues through music.  The song explains the signs that come with PTSD, warns families and veterans not to ignore these signs and to get help when they appear. According to the Department of Veterans Affairs, an average of 22 veterans commit suicide each day. Thousands of veterans are diagnosed with PTSD each year, and many more never get help. Barillaro has made it his mission to reach out to others through music, as music helped him heal after 10 years of active duty in the Army. Looking to inspirational figures like Abraham Lincoln, Pat Tillman and Bob Marley, Soldier Hard works to make compassionate music for a good cause. Not to mention the catchy chorus that keeps his dedicated fans coming back for more head-nodding inspiration. Be sure to check out Soldier Hard’s new album, Therapy Session, which will be out this summer.
