The Defense Department alone offers more than 3,500 online sites just for service members, their Spouses and their kids. As any MilSpouse will tell you, it’s an incredible headache to try and find what you’re looking for. To make it easier on the families and loved ones of our heroes, the National Military Family Association launched the MyMilitaryLife app. Service members and their loved ones can now navigate  existing programs that offer guidance on returning to college to managing a deployment to transitioning out of the armed forces.

To use the app, you first pick a “life path:” education, deployment, or separation and retirement out of the Military. You’re then given a  series of questions that ask about service branch, rank or the type of degree you’re seeking. Eventually, the app will help service members find help with family medical issues, child care, assist in a Spouse’s job hunt and provide PCSing programs.

App features include:

  • Customized to-do lists
  • Tailored suggestions for your Service branch, location, and needs
  • Due date reminders
  • Notices of new programs
  • Emergency phone numbers for military families
