Navy SEAL Lt. Michael Murphy was the first person to be awarded to Medal of Honor for his actions in during Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, which was awarded posthumously.  His courage during Operation Red Wings (a mission to kill an al-Qaeda leader) and his commitment to his fellow soldiers cost him his life, but his life and honor have been memorialized in Murph: The Protector, a film by Scott Mactavish.
