Dear Ms. Vicki

I come to you in need of some advice and maybe some reassurance. I know this may seem last minute and maybe even illegitimate to some, but my husband is not on deployment. He just entered his BCT. Although he JUST left, (like 2 days ago), I can’t help but feel like it’s been forever already. I’m used to being around him, talking to him whenever, fussing whenever, ya know? But now, even when I just look at his clothes, I burst into tears. How am I gonna deal with 10 weeks of this? Or even a deployment? Please give me some advice and tell me everything will be ok because right now I’m about to go crazy. Sad I know.

Please help…New Wife.

Dear New Wife

It will get easier believe me. I remember crying my eyes out when my husband would leave for a week, LoL. As time moved on I wished I only had one week of his absence to deal with. I think this would be a great time for you to learn as much as you can about the Army. There is much information on Military.com. Try to keep busy with work, school, etc. You should also reach out to family, friends and even spiritual support too. Hopefully, you will be able to attend graduation when the 10 weeks are over. There are other trainings he will have to complete, but it will get better. Hang in there and write to me when you need a “pick me up” ok?
