Many adults look back on high school as a time full of awkward phases and changes; a time when you’re figuring it all out. But, for many women, acceptance and love for the person you became during those years is hard to completely embrace. In this week’s Healthy Living Series, Miya and Jess explain how many grown women go through the struggle of accepting their physical appearance and lack of confidence in their Hapa Hour series. Take some time to change your self image if you’re one of those women who dwells on flaws and can’t take a compliment. Meditate on the positive aspects of who you are. Think of how you are different; how you’re unique. Many women constantly look for ways they can change and improve their body to look like a living Barbie doll. Newsflash: being different and loving the body you have is a much more enjoyable life and a healthier mindset than depriving yourself of food and relaxation for the sake of that ‘perfect’ body. If everyone looked the same, the world would be a pretty boring place. Be confident in your own skin and know that you are beautiful. If you feel that love, those around you will feel it too!   What do you love most about yourself?
