This fantastic new ad from Always portrays the way boys, girls, men and women perceive women, inside and out. It brings up a great thought-provoking point: When did doing something ‘like a girl’ become an insult? And it’s true, at least in American culture, that pointing out something being done ‘like a girl,’ infers weakness – a joke. It’s sad to say that it’s become a cultural norm and hasn’t even crossed the minds of many as being noticeably negative until an eye-opening message, such as this, is brought up. Let’s join the movement! Teach your daughters, sons, friends, boyfriends, husbands, friends, family…and yourself…that doing something ‘like a girl’ means doing it just as well as anyone else – if not better! Good work, Always! Keep the positive thinking and thoughtful messages coming!
