Hot Music: Silversun Pickups

This band channels classic alternative rock of the late 90’s with some unique and fantastic qualities that make them easily identifiable. Brian Aubert’s vocals are both cool and urgent, somehow fitting into a steady baseline and urgent drumming that make Silversun Pickups an all-around great rock band.  Each of their songs has its own attraction; they don’t all run together and sound the same (a quality that too many bands and songs fall into). If you’re a fan of “Panic Switch,” we definitely recommend you check out “The Pit” and other songs on the Neck of the Woods album. They put on an impressive live show; if they’re playing near you this summer, we highly recommend you check them out!
