At just 16, Lorde is taking the world by storm! Not only is she breaking records by becoming the first female solo artist to top Billboard‘s “Alternative Songs” chart since 1996, her smoky voice and mysterious persona is drawing fans from near and far. Lorde is the stage name of Ella Yelich-O’Connor, choosing a name that would be easy to remember and would mirror her love of royal culture. One day, this New Zealand native might just become music pop royalty with her infectious sound! Signed by Universal at 12, Lorde proves her natural talent by writing her own music.  “Royals,” the first single off of her album “The Love Club,” has been viewed over 6 million times on YouTube and her first full album won’t even be out until September 30th.
