A workout playlist can keep you energized and moving. But a great workout playlist will increase your heart-rate and your athletic performance by keeping your body turning over to an evenly paced beat. The more evenly staggered BPM playlist, the more calories will be burned during a session. Here is a high BPM workout mix for the fall.
Beats per minute (BPM) is a unit typically used as a measure of tempo in music and heart rate. The BPM tempo of a piece of music is conventionally shown in its score as a metronome mark, as illustrated to the right.
Your body will naturally keep pace with a songs beat per minute. A body in pace will burn more calories. A good rule of thumb is the higher the BPM the higher your heart-rate if you are keeping pace with the music. Your heart-rate is measured in beats per minute just like a songs beats per minute. Your body is in optimal calorie burning state when your heart is at 120 to 150 beats per minute. Of course everyone is different and in different stages of fitness, so your calorie burning state might be different from the average.
