Are you thinking of grilling out this weekend? Inviting some friends over for burgers and hotdogs? Celebrating a warm summer evening with steaks? Why not switch up your grilling menu this weekend? Instead of traditional fries, try these grilled potatoes and add a gourmet touch to the meal. Your friends and neighbors will smell dinner coming and be impressed at how easy and delicious this recipe turns out to be.

What you’ll need

  • Medium sized red-skin potatoes (1 for each person)
  • Fresh rosemary
  • Olive oil (enough to lightly coat potatoes)
  • Sprinkle of salt & pepper
  • 1 smashed, whole garlic clove

How it’s done

  1. Cut the potatoes into 1/4 or 1/2 inch slices
  2. Add the potatoes to a large bowl with rosemary, olive oil, salt, pepper and garlic
  3. Toss until the olive oil coats the other ingredients
  4. Heat the grill to a high heat
  5. Add potatoes to heated grill and immediately lower heat to a medium temperature
  6. With the lid of the grill closed, allow to cook for 8-10 minutes (checking them often to make sure they’re not burning)
  7. Flip and cook for an additional 8-10 minutes
