Over the weekend, the FBI issued a warning to the U.S. Armed Forces community that the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) is calling for attacks against them. According to a law enforcement source, “overseas based individuals are looking for like-minded individuals in the U.S. to carry out these attacks.”
In order to keep your family as safe as possible after this most recent threat, uphold strict OPSEC and PERSEC measures. Make sure your family isn’t sharing too much information online. Review your social media accounts and pay attention to the information you’re providing and the photos you’re posting.
Monitor your children’s social media postings or make sure they understand that sharing sensitive information is never appropriate to share online.
