Five-year-old Miles Scott has spent the past three years fighting leukemia. Now that he’s in remission, he wants to fight crime. The Make-A-Wish Foundation sponsored a day to make his big dreams come true. Thousands of San Franciscans lined the streets to catch a glimpse of Batkid and a full-sized Batman zooming around the city in a Lamborghini bat mobile, untying a damsel in distress on the cable car tracks, catching the notorious Riddler before he could carry out his robbery, chasing the Penguin and at the end of it all, receiving a key to the city. As Miles lived out his superhero dreams, hearts melted around the country; and this is only 1 of 14,000 wishes granted every year by the Make-A-Wish Foundation.  After years of health struggles for this little guy, his special day isn’t one he’ll soon forget.
