SecuraFone is a free application for iPhone and Android. It allows parents to temporarily lock down the email and text message functionality of their teen’s smartphone when the device is traveling at a high speed. An alert is also sent to the parent if a preset speed threshold is passed. All settings are customizable and can be accessed by the parents through an online account.
For those teens without cards, the app still helps keep them safe by setting up “geofences”. Parents receive a text alert any time their teen crosses a predetermined virtual boundary.
With one press of a button, the SOS feature automatically calls predetermined emergency contacts and alerts other emergency contacts via text or email.
