The holidays are coming up fast and time sometimes gets away from us. Putting up decorations, lights, and other holiday décor can be time consuming. We all want the spirit of the season to be in our home, but we all don’t have the time. Here are five quick and easy holiday decorating ideas that will help you save time and add a little spark of personality to the season.
Cards of Christmas Past
If you keep your Christmas cards that are covered with photos of family and friends, then hang them from string across your mantel or a banister. If you don’t keep your Christmas cards, I am sure you will receive some this current year. Place them on the string instead.
Tied together
A great homemade ornament or decoration is tying the unexpected together with twine. The twine makes a rustic, down home feeling. Take cinnamon bunches, pine sticks, or pine cones and tie them together in small bunches. Simple and rustic.
Perfectly wrapped
Gifts make a great decoration, but they don’t have to be real. Take empty boxes and wrap them in festive or colorful wrapping paper. Wrap different sized boxes to create an engaging composition.
Banister
A great way to decorate is to hang ornaments on your banister. Use thick ribbon and hang large ornaments from the banister in different lengths.
Personalized wreaths
An inexpensive way to decorate wreaths is to add the letter of your surname to the middle of the wreath. Use a classic silver color or a bold red to stand out from the green of the wreath.
