Military Spouse, Kaleah Williams, is in her “dream role” today because of a mentoring connection she formed through eMentor.
Soon after Kaleah relocated due to her spouse’s military transfer, she found herself without a job and lacking a career network in her new area. So she went to a military spouse event where she heard about eMentor. Kaleah signed up, created a profile and was soon matched with Randi.
“She allowed me to tap into her network,” Kaleah said. Randi also helped her identify several potential job opportunities, get interviews and, just a month later, find a job.
“And I can honestly say that without eMentor it could have taken months for me to find work,” Kaleah said. “But because of the power of my mentor’s network and her willingness to guide me, I was able to find meaningful work that wasn’t just a job but really helped to build my career.”
Kaleah explained that her supervisor in the new position gave her a recommendation that helped her land a fellowship with the prestigious Education Pioneers Graduate Fellowship in the non-profit sector where she now works to support education reform.
“And I can honestly say eMentor helped to get me to this point,” Kaleah said. “So I’m grateful for the service they provide and plan to use them going forward in my next military relocation.”
