Photography and videography prove to be powerful mediums in expressing the awe of life around us. Since 1960, the best Military photographers and videographers have competed for the Military Photographer of the Year distinction. The 2011 competition included 3,500 entries submitted by 603 competitors. The competition considers categories ranging from combat documentation, to picture story and sports.
