Imagine being able to run 26.2 miles in less than 3 hours. It seems a bit superhuman…unless you’re Kelly Calway who finished this weekend’s Marine Corps Marathon in 2 hours and 42 minutes.  A Colorado-native, Kelly is a U.S. Army Captain, currently stationed in Ft. Carson.  She is one of nearly 30,000 participants who came out for the event’s 38th year, and won the women’s division by a window of nearly 6 minutes! Winning the 9th biggest marathon in the world has put her in a great state of mind prior to her upcoming deployment to Kuwait. It’s safe to say this event was a morale booster for all branches of the Military after such a worrisome month. Did you attend this year’s Marine Corps Marathon?
