For this week’s What’s Cooking Wednesday series, we aren’t exactly cooking anything – but we’re still super excited to share a delicious and healthy food trend that’s taking off in 2015: matcha!
If you’re not yet a superfan, matcha is a green tea powder that’s full of health benefits! It’s rich in fiber, full of antioxidants and vitamin C. It doesn’t raise insulin levels, but it does lower cholesterol and even detoxifies your body more than green tea bags (you’re consuming the green tea instead of sipping the infused water).

Here’s what you’ll need:
- 1 tsp. matcha powder + more for dusting
- Hot water (not boiling)
- A sweetener of your choice (honey is a good choice)
