Iced Matcha Green Tea Latte Recipe

For this week’s What’s Cooking Wednesday series, we aren’t exactly cooking anything – but we’re still super excited to share a delicious and healthy food trend that’s taking off in 2015: matcha!

If you’re not yet a superfan, matcha is a green tea powder that’s full of health benefits! It’s rich in fiber, full of antioxidants and vitamin C. It doesn’t raise insulin levels, but it does lower cholesterol and even┬ádetoxifies your body more than green tea bags (you’re consuming the green tea instead of sipping the infused water).

Not only is it a superfood, it also tastes pretty darn amazing as well. Learn how to make this healthy treat from the video above as Kenkotea shares a simple, refreshing drink that looks good and tastes great.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1 tsp. matcha powder + more for dusting
  • Hot water (not boiling)
  • A sweetener of your choice (honey is a good choice)
  • Milk
  • Ice
