Missing someone you care about? Need a good night’s sleep? Just want to slow down life for a while?

London Grammar’s peaceful song, Interlude, will do the trick. Its dreamy, hypnotic melody and poignant lyrics are simple and sweet, and well worth a listen. On repeat.

This young British trio consists of Hanna Reid, Dan Rothman and Dot Major. Their upcoming third EP, Truth Is A Beautiful Thing, will be available this year, in June 2017.

If you haven’t heard (or heard of) London Grammar yet, you’re in for a pleasant surprise. Their music is often soft and moody, with thoughtful lyrics. At other times, their rhythms will pick you up and get you dancing. Their cover versions of songs like Kavinsky’s Nightcall, Miley Cyrus’ Wrecking Ball, and Chris Isaak’s Wicked Game have also garnered them success in the UK and Australia.

They haven’t quite cracked the charts in the States yet despite performing at SXSW in 2014 and playing at other venues around the country, but it’s not for a lack of talent. Their song Strong won them a prestigious songwriting award in 2014. Not bad for a band that began playing together just 5 years earlier after a chance encounter while they were still in school. You can hear them tell the story on BBC Breakfast.

LYRICS from Google Play:

Grey stares beneath the moon
Tonight I’ll be dreaming of you
People and rhythm instead
And there you’ll be
There you’ll be inside my head

Hmmm, I will dream of you
Hmmm, you’ll dream of me too
Hmmm, your hands, they’re on my face
Hmmm, there would be no better place

Some miracle man must have shot me
While I wake. I never ran fast enough
Oh my mistakes
Would you really want me
In the light of day, that very same man
Shot flaws right through my face

Hmmm, I will dream of you
Hmmm, you’ll dream of me too
Hmmm, your arms curled round my waist
Hmmm, there would be no better place

Could you have your arms around my
Could you have your arms around my
