Mondays are about to take on a whole new meaning for MilFams across the country. Usually a day met with dread, Mondays are about to met with excitement thanks to the people over at Kohl’s.

As if you needed another reason for a little retail therapy, Kohl’s has recently announced a new program that will turn Mondays into your new go-to shopping day. Earlier this month, Kohl’s announced on their website that they will be running “Military Monday” throughout the remainder of 2019.

So what is Military Monday? It’s a 15 percent in-store discount available only to active and former military personnel, Veterans, and their MilFams. All you need to do is show a valid Military ID, Military Dependent ID, or Veteran ID at checkout to receive your exclusive savings. You must shop in-store to take advantage of Military Monday. It doesn’t apply to online orders.

Kohl’s Veterans Business Resource Group (BRG) was largely behind getting the program off the ground. The group specifically focuses on ways the company can reward servicemembers, Veterans, and their MilFams. We think they did a pretty good job with this one.

Kohl’s vice president Doug Arnoldi had this to say about the new program:

“Through Military Mondays, we are proud to strengthen our support of our military families who have made sacrifices to ensure the safety of our communities. We saw a need to better serve our brave military families, and this discount is our way to give back, and lighten the load, for families who have given so much.”

It’s always great to see companies and corporations acknowledging the great sacrifices out servicemembers and MilFams go through. It’s even better when they offer to help out, even if just a little bit, like Kohl’s has done with their Military Mondays program.
