French Vanilla Iced Coffee

This coffee will put some pep in Mom’s step for the day of fun ahead,
while its cool temperature remains safe for kids to help make.

Ingredients:
8 oz. coffee, cold
1-2 Tbsp. milk or cream
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Ice

Method:
1. Fill a tall glass 2/3-full of ice.
2. Add milk, sugar, and vanilla to glass and stir.
3. Add coffee to glass and stir well.


Nutty Yogurt Parfait

Kids will have fun arranging Mom’s favorite yogurt toppings
into a colorful and healthy breakfast.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
1/2 cup fruit (berries, apples, pineapple, mango, etc.)
1/4 cup nuts (walnuts, pecans, coconut, etc.)
1 Tbsp. honey

Method:
1.
Spoon 1/4 cup yogurt into a pretty glass dish and drizzle
with a teaspoon of honey.
2. Sprinkle some of the fruit and nuts into the dish, then top with another 1/4 cup
of yogurt and another teaspoon of honey.
3. Top with the remaining fruit, nuts, and honey.


Heart-Shaped Eggs & Toast

Let your child’s creativity show through with this impressive take
on a breakfast classic.

Ingredients:
2 tsp. butter
1 slice of bread
1 egg
Raspberry or strawberry jam
Heart-shaped cookie cutter

Method:
1.
Using the heart-shaped cookie cutter, cut out the center
of the slice of bread and toast it.
2. Spread the raspberry or strawberry jam on the heart-shaped toast
and set aside until ready to serve.
3. Melt one teaspoon of butter in a skillet then add the bread.
4. When the underside of bread is golden brown, add the second
teaspoon of butter and flip the bread.
5. Crack the egg into the center of bread, cover skillet, and cook
until the egg is set, 2-3 minutes.
6. Carefully remove egg and toast from pan and serve alongside
the heart-shaped toast.


Banana Chocolate Chip
Muffin in a Mug

This fit-for-breakfast dessert is easy for kids to mix together in a single mug
and requires minimal cleanup.

Ingredients:
3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/2 overripe banana, mashed
1 egg
1 Tbsp. water
1 Tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. chocolate chips
Pinch of salt
Pinch of baking powder
Pinch of baking soda

Method:
1.
Add the banana, egg, water, and vanilla to a mug and mix well.
2. Add the remaining ingredients and stir until smooth.
3. Microwave for 1 minute and then in 30-second increments until a toothpick
inserted into the center comes out clean.
